Unpredictable Midwest Spring

In the midwest, you can expect some very unusual weather patterns and some unusual things to happen in your home. But what you don't ever expect is to arrive home after being away for a few days and find your basement standing with 8' of water. Yikes! 

That is exactly what one of our recent clients had to deal with. Our spring here in Illinois has been overly wet from spring storms. The rain seemed to keep coming for what seemed like every day for 3 weeks. When the unexpecting couple arrived home after a short trip, the basement was full. Not just wet from the storms, but 8' of water.

We were able to develop a game plan to pump the water out slowly over a 6 day period to avoid collapsing the basement walls. Then get everything cleaned up and dried out.
