From 60 to zero in 86,400 seconds!

In the midwest, you never know what to expect in terms of the weather or how fast it can change. Take New Year's Eve, for example, it was only three days ago and it was almost 60 degrees outside. Then in just 24 hours (86,400 seconds), it was almost zero. What a change a day can make. 

So needless to say, with such a rapid change, most people were not prepared. Because, not only did the temperature drop, but a snowy and icy mixture began to fall as well. Sidewalks, driveways, and streets were quickly coated with this frosty nuisance.

It is hard to be ready for such a drastic change, but if you take the right precautions and prepare in advance for any situation, you can be ready to hit it head-on.
